City Tavern is the best restaurant & bar in the neighborhood of Cow Hollow, just below Union Street and right off of Lombard on Highway 101 N. It has ambieint sophistication reminiscent of the 1940's, with an upscale, young clientele. This is a favorite spot for singles from about 21 to 35. A comfortable atmosphere for lunch, with some sidewalk dining. Featuring a unique menu of California cuisine, light fare as well, a perfect 32 degrees, extensive selection of beer, and a good California wine list make it a popular spot. In Cow Hollow, just 3 blocks from the Union Street shopping neighborhood, & 1/2 block off Lombard Street (HWY 101N) going to the Golden Gate Bridge.
