After visiting Ghirardelli Square, Retrace your steps past the Buena Vista Cafe (or stop in for their classic Irish Coffee) before continuing downhill on Hyde Street to Jefferson Street. This is the beginning to Old Fisherman's Wharf. You first come to the Hyde St. Pier. Then step onto Jefferson, the main FW street. It is often very crowded, as there is a lot to see and do. Many street artists & musicians on Jefferson. There are also import shops, nautical antiques, art, great restaurants, tours & family fun at Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum.

There is a walkway that runs from Tarantino's Restaurant, right around the back of the Harbor. Colorful shops sell a large selection of souvenirs, designer clothing, Imported perfumes, Ghirardelli Chocolate, Smoked Salmon and so much more!

The views from the restaurants are stunning and romantic. There is a little Seaman's Chapel built right on the dock with a Catholic Mass in Latin each Sunday at 10 AM. There are many delightful photo opportunities. And the gold at the end of it all?
