www.riveramural.org is home
to Diego Riveras
masterpiece, The Pan
American Unity Mural,
painted in 1940 during
the Golden Gate
International Exposition.
Located in the Diego
Rivera Theater, the 1800
square foot mural is rich
in detail and history and
one of the most
impressive pieces of
artwork in San Francisco.
For
the past two years the
Diego Rivera Mural
Project has worked to
promote The Pan American
Unity Mural throughout
the country and call to
the theater the greatest
possible number of
visitors. We have created
a website,
www.riveramural.org full
of information related to
the artist, his work, and
this particular mural.
Most recently we have
trained student docents
to do presentations,
expanding the
murals viewing
hours.
The Pan American Unity
Mural is now open as
follows:
Monday - 11am to 12pm
and 2:30 to 5pm
Tuesday - 10 am to 1 pm
Wednesday - 11am to 12pm
and 2:30 to 5pm
Friday - 2:30 to 5 pm
Saturday - 10 am to 3 pm
