The stadium (now known as SBC Park)...generally known as the "ballpark"...is located on Townsend, between 2nd & 3rd, near the Embarcadero. To get there by:

Public Transportation, go to the BART station on Market, get a ticket (not for BART) but for the MUNI on the F Line going South. (Both transportation systems are the same station.) Ask any station attendant, if you can find one, for the trolley to the baseball park. Either they or our friendly residents on the train stop platform will point out the F Line to the ballpark. Do not take the F Line Outbound! It takes you straight to Ocean Beach near the Cliff House, at the far end of San Francisco. Of course, it goes through all the neighborhoods first. Hm...take a tour?! But...don't forget to purchase your tickets for the game ahead of time. Giants baseball is a very popular destination for San Franciscan's. Lines for tickets get really long!

Driving? There is a lot of paid parking all around the park. Believe us when we tell you, there will a bunch of guys flagging you into the numerous lots. Drive out the Embarcadero, turn (R) the only way you can turn, since the bay is on your left. The ballpark will be just up the road on your left. For parking, turn left just past the main ballpark building.

Walking? It is a good leg-bender, but you can walk straight down 2nd or 3rd Street's off of Market, for 6 long blocks. It takes you straight to the ballpark on Townsend. After the game, you can catch the F Line right in front of the ballpark building, going back to the MUNI station, or walk over to 3rd street and catch the 15 Bus back to Market Street. The 15 has a rather poor schedule, and you could be waiting a long time. We recommend the F Line, which will also provide a transfer to their north bound route to Fisherman's Wharf on the antique streetcars, with such names as the "Desire", an original car out of New Orleans. Why not go the Wharf for family fun and food after the game? Check out the sealions at Pier 39, the Fishing boat harbour or Ripley's Believe It Or Not? Buy a smashed penny. Grab a Ferry ride to Alcatraz, Angel Island and beyond! What a town!
