Hawaii West (North Beach)
For decades, Hawaii West has been a favorite of daytime drinkers in North Beach. There used to be a large contingent of older Italian Americans hanging out with each other to smooze, but times have changed and most of the old regulars have passed on. Today, you can still get a Hawaiian drink with an umbrella on top, while listening to Hawaiian classic on the Juke Box. Expect neighborhood flavor and silent drinking. Busy nights, Friday & Saturday. Walking distance to many North Beach restaurants. Across the street from the North Beach Police Station.
