San Francisco Review:
Hayes Valley is
San Francisco's version of
Greenwich Village, and this
charming B&B is located right
in the center of the
neighborhood. Renovated by the
owner, Dawn Wiggins, who
understood exactly what her
business travelers, American
visitors and International
guests, would love. She has
installed custom draperies,
imported linens and orchestrated
a complete makeover of walls,
floors and rooms. There is a
guest kitchen and breakfast nook.
Walk outside the door, turn the
corner, and there are many good
restaurants and unique designer
shops. It is also in walking
distance from Van Ness &
Market (streetcars to the
downtown), the Opera and the
Symphony. This lodging has become
so popular that some guests
insist on reserving the same room
they had previously. Hayes Valley
Inn is a very restful Bed &
Breakfast, and feels just like
old San Francisco; comfortable
and inviting.

Hayes Street has the best
overall boutique shopping in San
Francisco. Near Van Ness, the
opera & ballet. Hayes Valley
is unusual. The few short blocks
of this neighborhood feels like
another small town. Many creative
artisans have their shops and
studios here.
This is the best neighborhood for
unusual, handmade boutique gifts
of clothing ,art work, leather
goods, jewelry, interior
accessories, European glass +.
