Edinburgh Castle is a classic pub. Darts, stout, whiskey & poetry. Wooden floors, interesting events, such as the "Swearing Festival" to making its West Coast debut here in May of 2005, & 'Tribute to Hunter S. Thompson'. Lenny Bruce would have been able to perform here. Serious fun. Book events. Although not located in the best neighborhood (difficult to park), It's probably a good stop to make on St. Pat's Day between downtown puibs and the Geary strip. Their fish & chips have seen better days (comes from a Polk Street vendor that the Irish sold to less caring owners at least 20 years ago. The pub sends out a runner to pick it up on order.
