YEARLESS
for i will cut out
the white mouth from the center of zero.
i see frosty architecture
warming to my eyes
waiting to be eaten like vanilla cookies
i see the curves of the fat & thin
pedestrians,
long for the angular & soft alike,
get lost in the shattered geometry of their
shadows,
want to walk inside all their bodies at once.
now is no time for careful small desires.
the mailman staggers
through low morning fog as thick as cotton,
falls on an overgrown lawn
under the weight
of too many tear-soaked
sudden love letters. |
