Located in the Hayes Valley shopping neighborhood, their display includes original paintings by Mexican artists,both well known andup-coming, handcrafted silver jewelry, traditional craft, folk crafts from all over Mexico; Antique ‘retablos and santos'; photography, and vintage artifacts are also a part of the collection. There are many wonderful coffee table books for adults and children, including cookbooks for Mexican cuisine, and the best source for 'Artes de Mexico', a superbly produced publication on art and culture of Mexico. A favorite with decorators and serious collectors, this shop is thoughtfully designed, and when you walk through the door, you feel as though you are walking into a timeless Mexican cultural mystique. This shop is a popular destination for European tour groups, who have been known to come right from the airport to shop in Hayes Valley.
